The Ranger, I mean. It’s literally my dream truck, spec’d out exactly how I’d want mine.
I spotted some older dodge pickups too. D100's I think? The idea of joining the cool kids and finding an older truck with some patina is beginning to grow more appealing....
Except for the whole MPG’s thing :/

Trucks rule

The D- series trucks are kinda hard to find, because they just didn’t sell that many, but they are rather reasonably priced when you find them.

But if you LS swap a ranger you won’t care about the mileage because the revs will directly correlat e to happiness. Why do you think I have a 7.3 turbo diesel after all....

I also wouldn’t mind a diesel, but... Has there been a *small* pickup sold in America with a diesel? Not counting some obscure dead brand from like 40 years ago

Yeah, I was shocked to see a lack of pickup tax on the few that popped up in the classifieds.

They do

They just don't have the fan base that other trucks of the era have. I don't understand why, because they're great looking trucks.

Fun fact, 4dr tacomas of that gen only came in automatic.

As a recovering Ranger addict myself... Also from the
PNW.
Once upon a time Ford actually sold Rangers with two different diesel power plants

I find myself admiring pristine squarebodies lately, it must be contagious.

The only bigger ripoff than a used Tacoma is a used Ranger. You might as well shop for Tundras or F150s.

Seriously?!

Ugh. I know. I just find the tundras to be super aesthetically... Ugly. I said it. And the big ford's are bigger than the small ford's and the small ford's are perfect :/

There's nothing fun about that fact
